Further Yoga Teacher Training

Tutors: Tulsi, Swami Krishnaprem, Swami SatyaDaya, and Ananda Devi

This 8-month course is for qualified yoga teachers who wish to deepen their studies and go deeper into their experience of the subtleties of yoga and meditation. If is also for yoga teachers who perhaps qualified some time ago and feel the need to refresh their understanding and skillset. The course will offer a range of practices, knowledge and skills to enable yoga teachers to enhance their personal practice, and thereby their teaching, with confidence, clarity and depth.

Course Structure

The course includes 2 residential retreats here at the Ashram, 6 online training days, plus guided self-study and mentorship.

Specific Trainings

Yoga Nidra Training Course

Tutors: Swami Krishnapremananda & Tulsi

This six-month training course is designed for yoga teachers, therapists and experienced yoga practitioners who wish to teach yoga nidra safely and skilfully to their students.

It will systematically teach the eight classical stages of yoga nidra – opening stages or settling, sankalpa or resolve, rotation of awareness, breath awareness, pairs of opposites, visualisation, sankalpa repeated, and externalisation.

The course will be taught over six months on the following days:

May 28th, June 26th, July 31st, September 17th, October 23rd and November 19th.

Kriya Yoga

Kriya Yoga is a sophisticated and practical method of harmonising and refining the natural energies of our being to allow the physical, emotional, etheric and mental energies to be brought into balance.

This training offers a rare opportunity to learn, explore and deepen your practice of this ancient system in an ashram environment.

4 residential weeks spread out between July 2022 and May 2023, with additional support for home study and practice.

Residential Retreats

Our residential retreats are rare opportunities to go deep into the mysteries of yoga in an environment of great natural beauty and focused spiritual energy. Set in 25 acres of lush gardens and grounds, nestling amidst beautiful, remote hill-country in Southwest Wales, UK, the Ashram has been a hub of spiritual practice for over 35 years. During that time it has been a place of profound learning and transformation for thousands of people from all walks of life. We currently offer fully residential retreat courses of between 2 and 10 days in length, as well as longer sadhana courses combining multiple residential retreats with guided home-study.

Our Founder

Mandala Yoga Ashram was founded in 1986 by Swami Nishchalananda on his return from India after spending 14 years with his Guru, Swami Satyananda, studying all aspects of yoga and imbibing the true essence of this ancient tradition. Swami Nishchalanda ('Swamiji') is recognised as a genuine Yoga Acharya - a Master of Yoga.
