About This Retreat
Increasing numbers of people care for others either informally as a family member or friend, or in a professional capacity. As care givers, or yoga teachers, of people with a wide range of physical, learning or mental health issues ranging from down syndrome to dementia, autism to cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis to arthritis, it can be challenging to find ways in which we can effectively utilise specific yoga practices and understanding.
This 3-day retreat is for anyone with an interest in sharing the tools and experience of yoga with people they love or care for and who may find accessing mainstream classes and practices challenging or inappropriate. You do not need to be a yoga teacher; you simply need the willingness to share simple accessible yoga practices with others.
Throughout the retreat we will explore such practices and explore the different techniques and skills that can enhance the yoga experience for both care giver and receiver. This will be a very practical and hands-on experience and participants will be encouraged to explore alternative ways of sharing yoga practice and ideas with others within the group.More info
