Deepen Your Personal Practice and Your Teaching
Qualifying as a yoga teacher is a genuine accomplishment, and a gift to the teachers’ students. Yet what then? Spiritual life calls to us to keep our practice, and thereby our teaching, alive and fresh through continuing to learn, to deepen and to enquire through the whole of our life; not to become complacent, but to stay open to new learning and growth. As such this training could be a valuable next step on your journey.
The training will begin with a four-day residential at the Ashram during which course participants will embrace Ashram life through the practices of hatha yoga, chanting and meditation, karma yoga, havan (fire ceremony), kirtan (celebration of being through wholehearted singing) and satsang (question and answer). In addition, this first retreat will introduce the range of practices offered in the training, including ways of introducing these to students in a general yoga class setting.
This will be followed by 6 online days over 6 months, each of which will start with a morning hatha yoga, followed by teachings relating to the theme of the day, and group sharing to address ongoing teaching issues and concerns.
The training will culminate with a seven-day Ashram retreat giving a fuller immersion into the practices and experiences offered, enriched by the energies and support of the Ashram. The purpose will be to further empower you as a practitioner and teacher.
All the sessions, both residential and online, will be recorded and the recordings made available to the students subsequently as an added resource for your training.More info
