About Breath for Life
As yoga teachers, we are aware of the positive impact of pranayama practices on our mind, as well as a preparatory tool for meditation. Over the last few years, there has been extensive research on the breath and its impact on the autonomic nervous system, stress reduction, the heart variability, the health of the blood vessels, blood pressure and neurotransmitters. Worldwide, the use of drugs for depression, anxiety and sleep disorders, with their known side-effects, is steadily increasing. However, breathwork is free of charge and has no side-effects. Pranayama techniques are also excellent tools for connecting us with our conscious state of being.
During this course you will learn how to recognise and correct pathological breathing patterns; explore the impact of inhalation and exhalation on the autonomic nervous system; and practice selected pranayama techniques, including the Wim Hof method, to optimise and expand breathing capacity.More info
