About This Workshop

Exploring the apparent paradox of finding the ‘Unchanging Self’ in the midst of a life full of movement and change. This half day program is stand-alone, but also serves as an introduction to the three day event ‘Movement and stillness’ at Mandala Yoga Ashram in October, with Narada and Ananda Devi.

Why care about Stillness? Certainly, sometimes it feels good just to stop and watch the sunset or listen to the song of the blackbird. Sometimes it feels good to still the mind for a while. But in the search for ‘who or what am I’, it would seem that stillness takes on significant importance. If the Self is unchanging as the Vedas and the Sages say, then how can we hold onto such unchanging stillness when our life is full of movement? The session will hopefully be stimulating to the mind but  also with pointers to practices and meditations bringing us closer to an experience of stillness within movement.
