Monica Douglas
Monica Douglas (Hridaya Purna) is a OneSpirit Interfaith Minister, Spiritual Counsellor, and Certified Relationship Coach with over 25 years’ experience guiding individuals through personal transformation, loss, and relational healing. Her work weaves together deep presence, ritual, and spiritual practice to support people in navigating life’s most tender thresholds, including death and bereavement, with compassion and grace.
A devoted supporter, student, friend, and former trustee of Mandala Yoga Ashram since 2001, Monica has served as a tutor on the Ashram’s Yoga Teacher Training Courses and at events such as The Sacred Feminine: Festival of Yoga. Her long standing connection with the Ashram and its teachings deeply informs her approach. She teaches in a way that is embodied, intuitive, and grounded in the wisdom that consciously facing death can awaken a richer, more vibrant relationship with life.
Monica brings a warm, heart-centred presence to her teaching, shaped by her ministry of love and relationships, her African Caribbean roots, decades of spiritual practice, and her own personal encounters with grief and renewal. She holds space with gentleness and depth, inviting participants into courageous and soulful exploration.
