Sound as Path, Silence as Home

Rajesh David trained at The Yoga Institute in Mumbai, India, and is also a professional singer and composer with formal training in Indian classical music. A graded artist for All India Radio and Television, he brings a deep musical sensitivity and devotional presence to his teaching and spiritual work.

Rajesh lived at Mandala Yoga Ashram for four years, during which time he developed and taught a range of transformative Nada Yoga courses with the support and guidance of Swami Nishchalananda. His offerings including Nada Yoga: The Yoga of Subtle Sound, From Sound to Silence, The Music of Om, and Bhakti Yoga: Through Love to the Self,Ā are recognised by the British Wheel of Yoga as CPD events. His more recent courses, Pratyahara: Gateway to Stillness and Song of the Heart, continue this exploration into the subtle power of sound, silence, and inner stillness.

Teaching extensively across the UK and internationally, Rajesh shares the subtle, transformative path of sound through kirtan, mantra, sacred chanting, and reflection on yogic and mystical texts. His work gently guides students inward toward silence, devotion, and direct experience of the Self. He has also taught alongside Swami Nishchalananda on Kriya Yoga and Bhaja Govindam courses, supporting others on the path of spiritual awakening.

His musical offerings include numerous recordings such as Mantram, The Music of AUM, Kabir, Piya, Singing Bhakti, and Isha, as well as practice resources for students of Nada Yoga (Nadopasana). These devotional and meditative compositions are created as vehicles for reflection, healing, and inner connection.

Rajesh’s interest in inner stillness also led him to train with HeartMath UK, focusing on heart intelligence as a gateway to resilience and wholeness. He has completed the 8-week MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) programme and is a committed practitioner of Centering Prayer — a contemplative Christian path rooted in silence and surrender, inspired by the teachings of Cynthia Bourgeault.

With gentleness, clarity, and devotional insight, Rajesh continues to share his unique blend of music, mantra, and meditative awareness through retreats, online courses, and recordings, offering others a taste of the healing and unifying power of sacred sound, and a path home to the inner Self.
