Who Is the 'I' That Sees?
By Swami Nishchalananda
We can observe the senses, the act of seeing, of hearing, tasting.... but who is that observer? Who is the 'I' that sees or hears?
In this 40 minute meditative session, Swami Nishchalananda explores the continuing sense of identity from a young age, even asking the question '.... before I was born, did I exist?'
Obviously there was no physical existence, but was there an archetypal 'me'? And more fundamentally, was consciousness there?
We cannot investigate this except in the Now. That is where experience is possible as to the nature of Consciousness, Awareness.
